Chief and Second Officers hit by trailer, one died another hospitalized, Salerno

Tragic accident occurred on board of ferry CARTOUR DELTA at Salerno Italy, in the morning Sep 14, during cargo operations. Chief and Second officers were hit by trailer truck, when trailer broke free from one of lashing points, and rolled on. Second Officer died on the spot, Chief Officer was hospitalized with serious injures. CARTOUR DELTA is serving Salerno – Messina route.
