Chinese Panamax bulker towed to safety after week-long drift

Bulk carrier FUPING suffered engine failure in South China sea north of Riau islands on Feb 25, while ballasting from Singapore to Ningbo China. The ship was adrift until Mar 5, when she was taken on tow by SAR ship NAN HAI JIU 115 (IMO 9581021). On Mar 13 bulk carrier arrived on tow at Hong Kong outer anchorage, and was anchored. Remained anchored as of morning Mar 15.
