Tug sank off Mangalore, 2 survived, 5 missing, 1 dead

Tug ALLIANCE capsized and reportedly, sank, off Mangalore, western India, on May 15. Tug, deployed in SMB operations in offshore area, was caught in passing cyclone, lost power and went adrift. Of 8 crew on board, 2 managed to swim to the shore, 1 dead crew body was recovered, 5 crew remain missing. Understood capsized tug remained afloat, at least for some time, drifting towards shore.
