General cargo ship sank in Gulf of Tonkin
General cargo ship in load broke in two and sank at night Jul 13, rough weather said to be the cause. All crew were rescued by nearby fishing vessel, they’re safe.
Japanese freighter collided with fishing vessel, Taiwan Strait
General cargo ship collided with fishing vessel in the morning Jul 14 in Taiwan Strait, while en route to Japan. Cargo ship didn’t run and offered assistance to damaged fishing vessel, which managed to reach its’ base port under own power, suffering bow damages. Freighter interrupted voyage and arrived at Taichung anchorage, for investigation.
