Car carrier damaged in collision, Emden

Car carrier CITY OF ST. PETERSBURG allided with lock construction in Emden while entering port, at around 1500 UTC Jan 14. Two tugs were assisting the ship, but strong wind pushed car carrier onto constructions. Reportedly, lock dolphins were damaged. Car carrier suffered hull damages, extent and character (dents or breaches) unknown, but CITY OF ST. PETERSBURG was detained until completion of survey, probably repairs.
