Barge sank after collision with tanker, Bangkok

Product tanker collided with 900-ton barge loaded with ceramics on Mar 30 on Chao Phraya river, Bangkok area, being out of control after mechanical failure. Barge sank, tanker reportedly didn’t sustain damages. No injures, no casualties reported. Barge rests on bottom, partially above waterline, off fairway, so traffic isn’t affected. Barge is guarded off by buoy, she’s to be salvaged as soon as possible.
