ikhail Voytenko, I’m Russian, professional merchant marine navigator by education and former experience. Presently, I’m most popular maritime journalist in Russia, Ukraine and among Russian-speaking communities around the world. I’ve been involved in several world-famous accidents, including the hijack of ro-ro Faina and mysterious disappearance of timber carrier Arctic Sea (it was me in fact, who made that disappearance public, and because of that story I had to flee Russia).
I maintain Maritime Bulletin as a private maritime news and analysis website for more than 10 years. Recently, I developed website, blog actually, into a news agency, with the help of contributors. All of them are working in maritime industry, most of them are active seamen, sending me news and information from around the globe.
“Maritime Bulletin” and “Black Sea News” News Agency in May 2017 launched a joint project “Maritime Bulletin – Crimean Shipping”.
