I will never be a champion in solving puzzles competitions, that much I understood, while trying to solve the puzzle of CII (Carbon Intensity Indicator) – what the heck it is in the first place, and how it is calculated. There are parts of the formulae, which are controlled by ship owners: cargoes carried in ton miles; fuels and quantity consumed; timeline. Other parts, specifically those which define quantities of CO2 emitted, and so-called “correction factors”, are determined and regulated by some body somewhere – invisible, not elected, not controlled. CII looks to me as something like a rheostat used in prisoners interrogation electric shock techniques. Interrogator might regulate voltage implied, to get a right answer. Same principle goes here – somebody is regulating the parts of the formulae in accordance with his (their) time schedule of destroying shipping. Very simple. But will it be effective and give the interrogators the desired results, in form of ruined shipping and total control over its’ remnants, is a big question.
New parasites needed
Of course, green blue sustainable inclusive holistically approached gender equal non-smoking whales-friendly, shipping, is much wider than just CII. There are other indexes and indicators, like EEXI and EEDI, there are EET and GIA, whatever they all mean. New enigmatic words and terms appear real fast. I believe a new profession will emerge soon, profession of remembering, and correctly pronouncing, new terms, abbreviations, regulations. WMU will be the most suitable breeding ground for this new type of parasites, because WMU produces nothing but parasites, anyway.
Déjà vu
What is the present situation in the war against shipping, which has many names: Zero-Ship; Blue-whatever; Zero-emission; Clean Oceans; etc.? It’s a déjà vu, if you ask me. Something similar we saw two years ago, during the so-called “pandemic”. Remember countless “initiatives”, guidelines, projects and regulations, to organize crew change, vaccinations, tests, etc? Remember a mess it all turned into? Remember total lack of any analysis and statistics, necessary to understand what it was, why, who’s responsible and what are the losses (including human lives lost)?
Chaos growing
We witness now the same constantly growing mess, caused by righteous fight against non-existent threat of ships’ emissions. Again, as in “pandemic” case, developing chaos was, and is, one of the major factors, which will destroy the evil “green agenda”, in the long run. I am not CII formulae genius, but it doesn’t take genius to grasp the idea. When some man-made plague (Green Agenda; Agenda 2030; New World Order; socialism; communism) hits the humanity, with the only aim of taking humanity under total control, it is always based on false ideas and lies (pseudo science in our era), and as such, it requires unscrupulous people to carry it out. Attacks on humanity are all driven by exceptionally egoistic, selfish instincts, not by idea or belief. They are trying to get from this unholy, genocidal war against humanity, as much profits and perks, as they can. Any one of them is pursuing his own interest, and doesn’t care about others, or the Big Plan and its’ masters. Hence the chaos.
SME ship owners guidelines to survival
SME ship owners should, I believe, continue with the only policy allowing them to survive. Sabotage, avoid, duck and sidestep “green” lunacy, by whatever means you still have. Bring into the whole evil “zero-emission” industry as much chaos as you can, by falsifying data, by defying whenever you can, by moving to other regions, by disrupting the devious machine of shipping destruction. Lobby on any level you can, be it national parliament or shipping association, the things which have become illegitimate nowadays – such things as common sense, reason, professional knowledge and skills, responsibility, honesty, basic ethics.
And of course, you need some focal point, in form of blog or site or any type of media. To defend yourself and shipping, you need instruments, something to back up your claims while defying lunacy and its’ bearers, in forms of different materials, from raw facts to analysis. You need a general picture of what’s going on. Impossible without a focal point.
