Coastal tanker struck underwater wreck, damaged, Mongla, Bangladesh

Tanker loaded with fuel oil collided with underwater wreck in Mongla port area, Bangladesh, at around 0900 LT Dec 18. Tanker’s ballast tank was breached with ensuing water ingress, understood she’s either resting on bottom or on wreck, and there’s no danger of sinking. No leaks reported, cargo is to be transferred to another tanker.
According to ships databases, MONOWARA is a general cargo ship, with AIS long off. According to local sources and photo, MONOWARA is a tanker.
