2 luxury yachts bound USA destroyed by fire on German freighter

General cargo ship BBC VIRGINIA left Kaohsiung, Taiwan, on Nov 26, bound for USA, with reportedly, 3 luxury yachts, built by Taiwanese Dongge Yachts, on board. While the ship was still in Taiwan Strait, fire occurred on cargo deck, destroying 2 yachts. The ship returned to Kaohsiung on Dec 11, after calling Dafeng China, details unclear. As of Dec 12, BBC VIRGINIA is berthed at Kaohsiung, understood in the middle of the mess of claims, disputes, investigations.
