Irish Navy ship fire, Cork

Fire erupted on board of Irish Navy offshore patrol ship LE NIAMH on Oct 3 at Cork, Ireland, where the ship is undergoing maintenance repairs. Fire started in a storage compartment and was extinguished by joint efforts of crew and several fire fighting teams from Cork and Cork County. The ship sustained damages, which are to be assessed yet.
