Tanker with 15500 tons of petroleum aground, Luzon South China sea

Product tanker CHEMITEC with 15471 tons of petroleum on board ran aground at night Dec 10 on Pangasinan province coast, western Luzon, Philippines, while en route from Brunei to Ningbo China. Grounding was caused by engine failure. Tug MTUG PROCYON (IMO 9005936) at her side as of 1730 UTC Dec 10. No info yet on hull breaches, leaks.
