Bulk carriers collided on Singapore Anchorage, one breached, water ingress VIDEO Update

Jul 10 UPDATE: Total cargo 50,000 Mt; Iron ore fines 30,000 Mt; Iron ore pellets 20,000 Mt; No. 4 Hold flooded; Repairs still to commence.

Jul 9: Bulk carrier KLIMA collided with bulk carrier SPRING SNOW in the evening Jul 4, both ships were receiving fuel from bunker tankers at the time of an accident, details unknown. SPRING SNOW damages unknown, KLIMA suffered hull breach in cargo hold area, with ensuing water ingress. The ship with 30000 tons of iron ore fines is en route from India to China. Iron ore fines very prone to liquefaction, no information on salvage yet. SPING SNOW arrived at Singapore Anchorage from Argentina on Jul 4.
