GRIMALDI ro-ro grounding, Netherlands

Ro-ro cargo ship GRANDE AMBURGO ran aground on Western Scheldt bank at Walsoorden, in the afternoon May 26, while proceeding upstream en route from Dakar Senegal to Antwerp. The ship managed to come off about an hour later, reportedly by own means. She was taken to Hansweert on the opposite side of the river and anchored. After survey, she resumed voyage and was berthed at Antwerp at around 0230 UTC May 27. No damages reported.
