Shipping and The Army of The Dead

Maritime community is to be congratulated with new mandatory regulation on “wellness training”:

Maritime charity Sailors’ Society is petitioning the International Labour Organization (ILO) to make wellness training for seafarers mandatory in the Maritime Labour Convention (MLC).
The petition is a key part of the charity’s Not On My Watch campaign to combat suicide and depression at sea. The campaign is also calling on maritime companies to donate to the charity’s work with seafarers struggling with depression and to run wellness training for their staff.

It’s not yet mandatory of course, but there’s little doubt ILO will welcome the idea – after all, total labor force control is the main, principal idea of ILO and all related bodies.
As for seafarers, their opinion is irrelevant, as there is no doubt at all, that “mandatory wellness training” will be met with either indifference, or more likely, with resentment. Seafarers have enough negative experience with “resting hours” requirements, one more mandatory insanity will only increase their numerous headaches. Let’s not forget Jan 1 2020 and new CO2 requirements, with a lot of fun ahead, like Singapore MAP promise to fine and even imprison violators of new regulations.

There’s no room for discussion, or bargain, or reason. Because it’s business. Some most lucky ones get bite of the pie called “fighting global warming”. Some profit on monopolizing trade unions. Some are CEOs. Some do “media” (in Soviet Union it was called what it really is – propaganda). And some go into “do-good” business. So they’re doing good, all around. They love to call seafarers “our seafarers”. Like they’re slaves, you know. Seafarers just don’t know how to look after themselves, they have to be watched over, and guided, or else they’ll surely run into trouble. Looking after them and their “wellbeing” is a business. Not as lucrative, as CEO business, or fighting GW, but still, enough to be well off.
It’s a socialism, pure and simple, the essence of which is absolute control of everything and everybody. Socialism is attacking mankind from all sides. Shipping is hit real hard, it’s plagued with socialism. Socialism is The Army of The Dead, it kills everything it infected, from empires and nations to industries and individuals.

There’s no way, as of now, to fight off the socialistic insanity on the march. It all went too far, already. There’s no resistance in shipping industry, it’s too fragmented for that. But with all that being said, I have bad news for The Army of The Dead, for all its’ generals, officers and soldiers. You guys are absolutely ignorant in socialism fundamentals. You have no idea of forces you’re trying to overcome. Be you wise and sane, you’d ask those who lived under socialism, or at least, study history as it was, not as it is taught by Marxist professors. Socialism destroys economy, any economy anywhere. Socialism didn’t attack global economy before, at least at present scale, and now it is global economy which is under siege, shipping being one of most vital parts of it. When crisis comes, you will be gone by the wind, blown away, wiped into waste bucket, together with your regulations, requirements and control. Just wait and see.
