Capesize grounding, Chesapeake Bay

Bulk carrier JSW SALEM loaded with coal bound for India, left Baltimore in the morning Jan 10 and ran aground off Virginia Beach, straying off fairway. In some 5 hours, bulk carrier refloated with high tide, understood by own means. She was anchored near grounding site for inspection and investigation.
