Ferry on fire, 145 evacuated 3 missing, Java sea

Ferry KM GERBANG SAMUDRA I caught fire early in the morning Dec 2 5 hours after leaving Surabaya, Java, bound for Banjarmasin, Kalimantan, in vicinity 06 35S 112 54E, Java sea, some 35 nm north of Surabaya, with 148 people on board. 145 people, passengers and crew, were rescued by nearby Indonesian ship, 3 are missing. Abandoned ferry is on fire, no details on firefighting and salvage yet.
