Container ship lost man overboard in Ambrose Channel, New York

Container ship NORTHERN JAGUAR lost a man overboard in Ambrose Channel while rigging pilot ladder, in rough weather conditions, at around 1200 UTC Oct 27. Crea member, most probably deckhand, was wearing an orange work suit, and no life jacket. USCG cutter and helicopters are engaged in SAR, which by 1900 UTC was, according to AIS track, still going on. NORTHERN JAGUAR is to dock at Newport on arrival from Singapore.
