Gas carrier aground, SEA Update refloated

Jul 15 Update: PAZIFIK was refloated early Jul 14 and towed by tug PACIFIC VALOUR (IMO 9443516) to eastern Pulau Sumbawa island, anchored at Sape anchorage. As of 1700 UTC Jul 15, she was in the same position. No damages, no leak reported so far.

Jul 10: LPG tanker PAZIFIK aground in position 08 29S ; 119 20E, Lesser Sunda Straits, between islands Pulau Sangeang and Pulau Banta since 0700 UTC Jul 9, coordinates don’t change as of latest position 0200 UTC Jul 10. Tanker en route from Luwuk Indonesia, she was passing Straits in southern direction. Tanker confirmed aground by salvage company since morning Jul 9.
LPG tanker PAZIFIK, IMO 9293430, dwt 42,937, built 2004, flag Germany, manager LAEISZ REEDEREI.
