Container ship MOL PRESTIGE disabled by fire, 5 crew injured

Container ship MOL PRESTIGE suffered fire in engine room on Feb 1 in North Pacific off BC coast, while en route from Vancouver Canada to Tokyo Japan. 5 crew were injured, 2 of them badly, they’ve been medevaced by helicopter with serious burns. Understood fire in engine room extinguished, MOL PRESTIGE is disabled, adrift, awaiting tug to be towed to nearest port. As of 0300 UTC Feb 2 the ship was in vicinity 52 20N 136 56W, some 190 nm west of Graham Island, drifting in northern direction.
