Indonesian Navy gun boat sank in Malacca Strait

Indonesian Navy patrol boat KRI Sibarau 847 sank in Malacca Strait in vicinity 03 45N 098 58E, on Dec 2, being caught in stormy weather and suffering engine failure. All crew said to be rescued.
Attack-class patrol boat KRI Sibarau 847, former Royal Australian Navy HMAS Bandolier (P 95), commissioned 1968, sold to Indonesia in 1973, displacement 146 ton, length 33 meters, armament 1 40-mm gun and machine guns, complement 19.
