Turkish cargo ship sank off Bosphorus, all 10 crew missing

MRCC Turkey was alerted at 0425 Istanbul time Nov 1 by report on disappearance of a merchant ship in Black sea, off Sile, Turkey. SAR was launched, general cargo vessel BILAL BAL with 10 crew was identified as sunk some 7 nm off Sile, all hands missing. Vessel loaded with steel was en route from Gemlik Turkey to Eregli Turkey, Black sea, she transited Bosphorus at night Oct 31, last available AIS position timed 2130 UTC Oct 31, see pic. SAR is going on with deployment of patrol and SAR boats, Navy, helicopters and local fishermen, but only lifeboat and inflatable were found so far, no trace of survivors. BILAL BAL wreck understood to be already found on 88-meter depth. Cause of the sinking unknown, weather seems to be calm.
