Container ship oil spill, Piraeus

Oil slick of some 40 sq. meters was spotted at Keratsini harbor, Piraeus, on Oct 16. Oil leaked from berthed container ship KATHERINE BORCHARD, after fuel oil tank overflow. Volume of spilled oil assessed as small, anti pollution company was contracted for clean-up operation.
Container ship KATHERINE BORCHARD, IMO 9246530, dwt 11376, capacity 868 TEU, built 2004, flag Antigua, manager Jan Breuer KG MS STINA.
