General cargo ship aground, Bali sea

General cargo ship KAMARU, loaded with 717 tons of nickel ore, ran aground about 1 mile off Raas Port, Raas Island, Sumenep Regency, Indonesia, Bali sea, in the morning Sep 11. Vessel suffered hull breach, 12 crew reported evacuated with the help of local fishermen. Rough weather named as the cause of grounding. No information on salvage or assisting tugs.
