Bulk carriers collided, one breached, hold flooded, Chittagong

Bulk carriers ORHAN and MY MERAY collided in the morning Sep 9 on outer Chittagong anchorage, understood MY MERAY was already anchored and was hit by ORHAN. MY MERAY loaded with 37661 tons of TSP (triple superphosphate) fertilizer, suffered breach in Hold 5 area, with ensuing water ingress, Hold is flooded. ORHAN arrived at Chittagong with cargo of urea fertilizer. MY MERAY remained afloat, as of morning Sep 10, no information available as to the salvage, deployed facilities and vessel’s condition.
