Sinking Turkish freighter rescued, Mediterranean

General cargo vessel IKRA reported water ingress in engine room, and danger of sinking, at around 1200 UTC Aug 18, soon after leaving Iskenderun, eastern Mediterranean. 10 crew were evacuated by Turkish Coast Guard. Vessel was salvaged, towed back to Iskenderun and berthed at around 1900 UTC same day. As of 0600 UTC Aug 19, she remained berthed at Iskenderun. Vessel loaded with general cargo was bound for Antalya.
